The question is primarily concerned with parallel construction. the comparable segments of the original sentence are "found" & "that resembles". In the orginal sentence these segments are not parallel because of the presence of that. 
A) Wrong, As mentioned above. 
B) Again Not parallel, "found" & "that, resembling" : WRONG
C) Found & resembling seem to be parallel : Hold on to this one
D) "that is found" is not parallel to "it resembles" : WRONG
E) "that is found" is not parallel to "resembling" : WRONG
We are left with C as the answer.
