Test taking Tip - Bold faced Questions
The whole hoopla around bold face questions being tough is just a MYTH.
The difficulty level of a question is independent of the question type. In any question type, you may get questions in the range from very easy to very difficult.
GMAT could throw at you a strengthen question that could be 800 level stuff or a 550 level bold faced question.
In fact the same is true for the Quant section as well. You could get an easy P&C problem and a tough number properties problem. GMAT has a huge pile of questions across different difficulty levels to throw at you.
So do not get bogged down by the hearsay and the psychological block of classifying one problem type as difficult relative to the other.
