GMAT SC TIP - "As well as + Gerund"
- The adverbial modifier “as well as + Gerund” is acceptable on the GMAT.
- Do not use a verb immediately after 'as well as'
- The ‘gerund’ in the adverbial modifier need not be parallel with the verb in the modified clause.
- Be wary of answer options in which 'as well as' is immediately followed by a word that does not serve as a noun (remember – this is not an absolute rule but can be used as a last resort if you are backed in a corner)
