One of the most essential step while preparing for your GMAT exam is the practice tests. It is very helpful to take as many adaptive practice tests as possible. I remember taking around 12 tests while preparing for my GMAT. It is very essential how to manage time and avoid moments of anxiety, while you are running behind time. GMAC
The tests are offered by the GMAC council and every student should take these tests, as they are best resource available. The experience is as close as to the real GMAT exam. In fact, most teachers recommend their students to take this once during mid prep and on prep completion.

Manhattan GMAT

Manhattan GMAT test are extremely useful. The test provides an extended analysis feature to help you identify the areas of your strength and weakness. They are generally considered a pinch more difficult than the GMAT. The test provides an timing assit, explanations which are kind of very useful in figuring what went wrong and how to improve it for the future.

Kaplan

The Kaplan test are a good confident booster. The test provide you simple analysis features. However, i found the current tests to simpler than the actual GMAT. But with acquisition of Grockit, this may have improved a bit.

Veritas Prep

The test are very accurate in terms of Quant & Verbal. Though the IR section was a bit easy.

The test are very popular among students for their Verbal prowess. Though the company claims the test to be around 90% interval of actual GMAT.

This one help is really helpful if you use their program. They also provide analysis of your AWA section, which can be handy as most don't.

Princeton Review

The Test seemed to very simple. I would not recommend to take these. You can use these tests for timing and practice, but will not be very helpful. This testing service is undergoing a sea change so i expect it to come up with very good tests soon.
